Three Important Rules to Note:
Buy inside your window. Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR), Interruption for Any Reason (IFAR), and coverage for pre-existing medical conditions generally require the plan to be purchased within 14 to 21 days of your first trip payment — your deposit or your airline tickets, whichever came first.
Insure the full trip cost. The entire prepaid, non-refundable cost of the trip must be insured, including airfare and any other pre-trip expenses. Insuring only part of it can void the benefits above.
You cancel the trip, not the program. To submit a cancellation claim, the insured person must be the one who cancels. A cancellation initiated by the program is not the same thing and can result in a denied claim.
